James
James is a project management specialist with exemplary UK and international experience. His knowledge of the corporate real estate market has seen him successfully oversee and implement Head Office and Production relocation projects for public and private sector clients.
With an MBA in Business and a post-graduate diploma in marketing, James was trained as an engineer, and is also Green Belt Certified and a Master of Corporate Real Estate. Utilizing his qualifications and experience, James is able to advise on property and facilities management issues, including outsourcing and evaluations, contract specification preparations and tenders and technical building assessments. Throughout his career he has been responsible for:
- Managing Property teams on an interim basis, for both public and private sector clients.
- Relocating global production from Brazil to Thailand for #1 USA manufacturer of Ballet and Dance shoes.
- The development of new processes for Estates Management, Project Management and Facility Management for First Capital Connect plc.
- Working with First Capital Connect, he was responsible for the delivery of a £5 million Franchise Investment Program.
- The planning and execution of the relocation of 200 staff for First Scotrail Plc.
- The leasing of a 65,000 square-foot building whilst managing the £8 million fit-out budget to deliver a value-engineered project, reporting to the Managing Director at SAB Miller.
- Providing a turnkey solution for GE Europe the relocation of Corporate Headquarters from London to Brussels to an aggressive deadline.
- Implementing a major organisational change project for GE Russia, whereby 12 offices were centralised to a 35,000 square-foot building in Moscow.
- Consolidating GE Frankfurt’s multidisciplinary team comprising financial services and industrial businesses under one roof.
- Increasing profitability for GE Capital Bank Hungary by relocating to a new-build in a low cost part of the city to create an annual net saving of £4 million.
- Leading an international team in the development of the GE Global Property Website, patenting a unique real estate tool in the process.
