Interim Career Highlights
- As CEO he restructured a textile recycling company.
- He enhanced critical systems, stabilised staff morale and established procedures and controls when CEO of a hospice.
- His CFO role at a software start-up involved developing the business model and structure prior to seed funding.
- He reviewed the whole operation when CEO of a national charity.
- He kept an insolvent publishing firm afloat, pending receivership sale, then worked with the new owners integrating the business into a new group.
- Was Chief Executive during the restructure of a home improvement agency.
- Set up an international structure and planned IT for an international network marketing company.
- As Finance Director of a training company with 160 staff and 60 locations – he established management reporting, budgeting and cost control, reviewed potential acquisitions and negotiated bank funding.
Permanent Roles
- While Finance Director of a Training and Enterprise Council, he had to establish quickly the systems and procedures for what was essentially a start-up that was operating at full-scale – turnover £35m, 160 staff, five locations.
- A chartered accountant, Paul rose through the ranks of Ernst & Young where he managed audits, acquisitions, disposals, international groups and flotations.
